Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that the NaMo administration is all
set to re-visit its decision on the appointment of Secretary, Central Vigilance
Commission (CVC).; an additional Secretary level post which fell vacant after
Ms Nilam Sahwney (IAS:1984:AP) moved as Secretary,
Ministry of Social Justice on June 01, 2018. Ms Alka Tiwari (IAS:1988:JH) was,
on June 30, 2018, appointed as her successor in CVC but Ministry of Fertilizers
did not relieve her. Reportedly, she may be in-situ elevated in the Ministry of
Fertilizers. Power corridors are abuzz
that a 1989 batch IAS officer may be appointed as Secretary, CVC next week.
