Garg's (IAS:1983:RJ) protest against his lateral shift from the Ministy of
Finance to Power his VRS application has reportedly been approved by the Government
of Rajasthan. Following the same he would say bye to the IAS else he would have
retired in October 2020. Garg, then DEA Secretary and
Finance Secretary designate, was recently laterally shifted and appointed as
Secretary, Ministry of Power. Following his but when he was shifted to ministry
of power as secretary he opted for VRS.In additiona to several key assignment he
served as Executive Director (India) in World bank (Washington).
