New Delhi (10.06.2023): This year's result of UPSC has come as a shocker for two UPSC candidates from Madhya Pradesh, who have the same first name and same role number in the UPSC Civil Services exam in 2023. Obviously the rank was also the same for these candidates but such anomalies raises question on the credibility of the UPSC.

The two candidates from Madhya Pradesh -- 23-year-old Ayasha Fatima from Dewas district and 26-year-old Ayasha Makrani from Alirajpur district -- secured 184th rank. They produced similar admit cards with the same roll number to prove their claims. The two candidates have also filed their complaints with local police and the UPSC to seek notification.

Ayasha Makrani said that she would not let anyone else take her right. She also demanded justice from the UPSC and the government. Similarly, Ayasha Fatima said that she would ensure no such fraud in the future, and would do whatever is required further to resolve the issue.

However, a careful look at the admit cards of the two candidates shows that Ayasha Markani's admit card has some discrepancies. For example, the date of the personality test was mentioned as April 25, 2023, and the day as Thursday, but according to the calendar, the said date fell on Tuesday. The day mentioned in Ayasha Fatima's admit card was Tuesday. In addition to this, a clear watermark was visible on Ayasha Fatima's admit card but Ayasha Markani's admit card was more of plain paper with just a printout.

Meanwhile, the necessary corrections in the case have been made, and Ayasha Fatima has been announced as the correct candidate. A detailed investigation into the matter has been initiated to avoid such errors in the future.
