UP: Varanasi gets new DM in a reshuffle of six IAS officers

Lucknow (05.11.2022): The Uttar Pradesh Government has rejigged six IAS officers including Varanasi District Magistrates where Kaushal Raj Sharma was holding dual responsibility of DM and Commissioner. The IAS officers are:
  1. S Raj Lingam (IAS: 2009: UP) has been posted as the District Magistrate of Varanasi. Varanasi Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma was holding the additional charge of District Magistrate.
  2. Deepa Ranjan (IAS: 2013: UP) has been made District Magistrate of Banda district
  3. Ramesh Ranjan (IAS: 2013: UP) has been appointed as District Magistrate of Kushinagar.
  4. Anurag Patel (IAS: 2009: UP), DM Banda, has been put on the waiting list.
  5. Manoj Kumar (IAS: 2012: UP) has been appointed as the District Magistrate of Badaun
  6. Archana Verma (IAS: 2012: UP) has been made District Magistrate of Hathras district.
