UP chief secretary’s name used to dupe money; FIR lodged!

Lucknow (23.06.2022): There have been cases of duping using names of IAS officers but this time round, an unidentified miscreant attempted to cheat a man of Rs 25,000 while chatting with him on WhatsApp which had the status of UP chief secretary. The victim has lodged a case with the Cyber Crime police. In his FIR, Pramod Singh of Mayur Residency, Indira Nagar, said that an unidentified man sent him a WhatsApp message on his mobile phone and started chatting with him. Superintendent of UP Cyber Cell, Triveni Singh, said that an FIR under the charges of dishonesty, IT Act has been lodged and a probe is underway.
