New Delhi (18.03.2025): A month ahead of retirement of Sukhmal Kumar Jain as Director (Marketing), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL), the public-sector head hunter, has decided to conduct selection interview to find out his successor on March 29, 2025. Sukhmal Kumar Jain is retiring as Director (Marketing) on April 31, 2025.

If industry sources are to be believed altogether twelve candidates are expected to appear before the selection board (PESB) for interview namely:

1. Pushp Kumar Nayar (ED- HR, BPCL)
2. Dinabandhu Mandal (ED, BPCL)
3. Pardeep Goyal (ED, BPCL)
4. Subhankar Sen (ED, BPCL)
5. Arul Muthu Athan Veerasamy (ED, BPCL)
6. Biju Gopinath, (ED, BPCL)
7. ⁠T V Pandiyan, (ED, BPCL)
8. Hemant Kumar Rathore (ED, IOCL)
9. Mathew Varghese, (ED, IOCL)
10. ⁠R Venu Gopal (Senior GM, BSNL)
11. ⁠Sumit Kishore (ED, GAIL)
12. Ashish Dave (DGM, RINL)

It may also be underlined that the incumbent CMD G Krishankumar will also be retiring on April 29, 2025. Though PESB had conducted the selection interview but none of the twelve candidates were found suitable. So, it recommended Search-cum-selection route for finding out the new CMD for BPCL which is expected to swing another surprise post appointment of HPCL CMD.
