Three senior IPS officers of UP to go on central deputation

Lucknow (30.07.2025): Three senior IPS officers -- Akhil Kumar, Prakash D and Sujit Pandey -- of 1994 batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre will go on central deputation after they have been empanelled to hold the post of DG/Equivalent at the Centre.Akhil Kumar is currently posted as Police Commissioner Kanpur Nagar and Prakash D is serving as ADG Railway. Sujit Pandey is ADG Lucknow Zone while another IPS officer in the empanelment list Raja Srivastava is currently posted as ADG CRPF. They may be assigned new responsibility soon.The Central Government has empanelled a total of 35 IPS officers of the country for the post of DG and equivalent. ALSO READ

Lucknow (30.07.2025): Three senior IPS officers -- Akhil Kumar, Prakash D and Sujit Pandey -- of 1994 batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre will go on central deputation after they have been empanelled to hold the post of DG/Equivalent at the Centre.
