Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that as many as ten aspirants appeared before a six-member selection panel last week for selection to three CMD posts in general insurance companies namely; United India Insurance, Oriental Insurance and Agriculture Insurance Company. Reportedly, the six member selection panel headed by Ms Anjuli Chib Duggal (IAS:1981:PB) included T S Vijayan (IRDAI Chairman) and G N Bajpai (former LIC Chairman) as member. Currently all three top posts are lying vacant for several months. Agriculture Insurance Company (AIC) CMD post fell vacant following the appointment of P J Joseph was as Member, IRDAI in March 2016. Oriental Insurance CMD post fell vacant after A K Saxena retired on June 30, 2016 whereas United Insurance CMD post fell vacant after Milind Anna Kharat retired on May 31 this year. These insurance companies are currently running under temporary arrangement. United India GM A Hoda is working as officiating CMD, Sujay Banarji (GM, OI) holds the additional charge of CMD Oriental Insurance whereas R N Dubey  (Economic  adviser at Finance Ministry) holds the additional charge of CMD of Agriculture Insurance Company.
