New Delhi (22.04.2023): The Union Government made an interim arrangement for State Trading Corporation (STC) Limited by handing over the additional charge of CMD post to a 1990 batch officer belonging to Indian Trade Service (ITS). As per the notification Hardeep Singh (ITS:1990) will now hold the additional charge of CMD of STC Limited for a period of one year in addition to his existing charge as Additional Director General (ADG) in Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).It may be underlined that STC Limited, incorporated in 1956 as a CPSE under the administrative control of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, has stopped undertaking any new business activity and is currently continuing as a non-operative company for the time being.
