New Delhi (11.03.2022): Soon after assembly poll results were declared on Thursday, controversy gripped the Congress as senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor argued for ‘reform in organizational leadership. He said: “Change is unavoidable if we need to succeed”. When several leaders like Kapil Sibal and Ghulam Nabi Azad are pondering to get an opportune moment to go public with their viewpoint, Tharoor is very quick to make a strong point for change in organizational leadership. He became vocal on Twitter: “All of us who believe in Indian National Congress are hurting from the results of the recent assembly elections. It is time to reaffirm the idea of India the Congress has stood for and the positive agenda it offers the nation and to reform our organizational leadership in a manner that will reignite those ideas and inspire the people. One thing is clear – Change is unavoidable if we need to succeed.” Is Tharoor really very keen for a change in leadership at the earliest?
