Chennai (11.03.2022): The Tamil Nadu government has got about 16 IPS officers of 1991 batch promoted in the rank of DGPs. These officers included: Sanjay Arora, T V Ravichandran, and Karunasagar are on central deputation and Rajesh Das is under suspension. The additional directors general of police (ADGPs) – head of the state cybercrime wing Amaraesh Pujari, Tambaram police commissioner M Ravi, head of the idol wing CID unit in the Bureau of Police K Jayanth Murali, and head Research and Development (BP&RD) Karunasagar – were promoted as DGPs as per orders issued by the additional chief secretary to the state government SK Prabhakar.
The IPS officers in the ranks of DGPs are state police chief C Sylendra Babu, Sanjay Arora, Sunil Kumar Singh, P Kandaswamy, Mohammad Shakeel Akhter, Rajesh Das, Braj Kishore Ravi, Shankar Jiwal, A K Viswanathan, Abhash Kumar, TV Ravichandran, Seema Agarwal, Amaraesh Pujari, M Ravi, K Jayanth Murali, and Karunasagar.
