Ahead of the completion of its own tenure the NaMo administration has started winding up its first term which reflects other ways as well. PS and OSDs to Union Ministers were on Tuesday appointed to the post of Under Secretary, Deputy Secretary and Director in various ministries following the curtailment of their tenures with respective ministers.

• The tenure of N Ashok Kumar (IAS:2004:MT) as OSD Dr Satya Pal Singh, Union MoS for Human Resource Development, was curtailed. Further, he was appointed to the post of Director, Department of Commerce for a period ending May 2023.
• The tenure of Dr Ashima Jain (IAS:2008:BH) as Private Secretary to Sadhwi Niranjan Jyoti (Union MoS for Food Processing Industry) was curtailed. Further, she was appointed Deputy Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs for a period ending February 2022.
• The tenure of Ajay Yadav (IAS:2005:BH) as OSD to Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution (Ram Vilas Paswan) was curtailed. Further, he was appointed in the Ministry of Civil Aviation as Deputy Secretary up to 30 June 2019 and further as Director up to December 2022.
• The tenure of Durga Sakthi Nagpal (IAS:2010:UP) as OSD to Union Minister for Agriculture (Radhamohan Singh) was curtailed. Further, she was appointed Under Secretary (up to 30.06.2019) and further as Deputy Secretary (w.e.f. 01.07.2019) in the Department of Commerce for a period ending 14.01.2021.
