Cabinet has appointed Sanjay Singhal (IPS: 1993: UP), Special DG, BSF as Director
General, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) for a tenure up to his superannuation i.e. on
31.12.2028 vice Amrit Mohan Prasad (IPS: 1989: OD) upon his superannuation on

New Delhi (29.07.2025): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has appointed Sanjay Singhal (IPS: 1993: UP), Special DG, BSF as Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) for a tenure up to his superannuation i.e. on 31.12.2028 vice Amrit Mohan Prasad (IPS: 1989: OD) upon his superannuation on 31 .08.2025.
