New Delhi (14.09.2024): The New Delhi establishment on Friday appointed an Odisha Cadre IPS officer Amrit Mohan Prasad (IPS: 1989) as DG, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) for a tenure up to the date of his superannuation on 31.08.2025. The SSB post fell vacant after Daljit Singh Chaudhary (IPS: 1990: UP) was appointed as the DG BSF. Chaudhary was made DG SSB in January 2024 and was likely to hold the position until his superannuation in November 2025 but sudden developments changed the course and he was moved from SSB to BSF
