The recently-introduced '360 feedback' system has also been pressed into service. It may be underlined that 32 IPS 1986 batch officers had found a place on the list of ADG in an appraisal that took place on 15 November 2016. As per the convention, the left-outs could expect a fresh opportunity along with the empanelment of 1987 batch officers. If lucky, some of the left-outs could still make it through the 'special review'.
Power corridors are abuzz that there are few officers who stand out as special cases and if they are empanelled, they may be given plum posts. But one has to wait and watch.
