Somesh Goyal (IAS:1984:HP) has been appointed as new DGP of Himachal Pradesh; a post which fell vacant following the appointment of Sanjay Kumar (IPS:1985:HP) as DG, National Disaster Response Force (ADG level).
Recently he failed to find his name of the DG empanelment (GoI) list issued last month but finally became the top cop in his cadre state. He will retire in April 2021.
