Centre effects Additional Secretary level reshuffle

New Delhi (03.01.2024): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has enacted reshuffle of around half a dozen Additional Secretary rank officers. Two Joint Secretary rank post have been temporarily upgraded; one was done in-citu. The names and posts of these officers are as follows.

Faiz Ahmed Kidwai (IAS: 1996: MP), Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, has been appointed as Director General in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Civil Aviation in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
Akash Tripathi (IAS: 1998: MP), CEO, MyGoV, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power.
Kamal Kishore Soan (IAS: 1998: JH), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Labour & Employment, has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission, Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of Joint Secretary.
Ashutosh Agnihotri (IAS: 1999: AM), Additional Secretary, Department of Home, Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as Chairman & Managing Director, Food Corporation of India in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
Shubha Thakur (CSS: 1989), Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Inter State Council Secretariat, Ministry of Home Affairs.

In-situ upgradation

Vinay Kumar (IAS: 1999: BH), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.
