The headless Syndicate Bank finally gets its new MD&CEO in Arun Shrivastava w.e.f May 15, 2015. Shrivastava's journey with banking sector started in 1979 as a direct recruit officer of Bank of Baroda. Shrivastava replaces Sudhir Kumar Jain as MD&CEO of Syndicate Bank. Prior to joining the Manipal-based bank Shrivastava handled a wide range of portfolio with Bank of India namely; strategy & planning, large corporate & mid-corporate business, corporate debt restructuring, project finance & syndication, credit monitoring & asset recovery to publicity & public relations. Shrivastava also handled the BoI's foreign subsidiaries in Indonesia and Botswana, besides a joint venture called Indo Zambia Bank.
