802The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet effected a major bureaucratic
reshuffle shortly before the Election Commission of India announced the
schedule of 2019 Lok Sabha polls. Bhaskar Khulbe (IAS:1983:WB), the outgoing Secretary to Prime Minister,
was re-employed on contract basis for a period of six months beyond 31 March
2019 i.e. the date of his superannuation. Sitanshu Ranjan Kar, the outgoing Principal DG of PIB, was re-employed on
contract basis for a period of six months beyond 31 March 2019 i.e. the date of
his superannuation. Parmeswaran Iyer (Voluntarily Retd IAS:1981:UP), the outgoing Secretary,
Ministry of Drinking Water & Sanitation given extension for a period of one
year beyond the age of his normal superannuation i.e. 30 April 2019.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet effected a major bureaucratic
reshuffle shortly before the Election Commission of India announced the
schedule of 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
