Indianmandarins has learnt that Indian Foreign Service officer Chinthapally Rajashekhar (IFS:1990), currently serving at MEA HQ as Joint Secretary (West Africa), has been suspended. Reportedly, the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) is pursuing a matter against him which is said to be related to moral misconduct.
He was moved out from the post of Director General, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) few months back. Rajasekhar earlier served as the Indian Ambassador to Cuba, Dominican Republic, and Haiti. Previously, he served as Minister, Political Media and Education in London, Minister in Seoul, and Counsellor in Port of Spain.
