In selection interview held on June 17, 2015, PESB has selected Hitesh Khanna (DIR (WORKS), IRCON) for the post of Chairman and Managing Director, Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) . Once the selection is ratified by the ACC, Hitesh Khanna would succeed B P Tayal. Mr. Khanna is an Indian Railway Services of Engineers (IRSE) officer of 1981 batch. He assumed office as Director Works on March 07, 2011. Prior to joining Indian Railways in 1983, he had worked for two years in Engineers India Limited. B P Tayal, the incumbent CMD of KRCL, is scheduled to superannuate on November 24 this year. He had taken over as CMD on November 25, 2010.
