A SC bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra, on 02 July 2018, dismissed the plea challenging the appointment of Central Vigilance Commissioner K V Chowdary and Vigilance Commissioner T M Bhasin. The plea had alleged that a non-transparent procedure was followed while appointing them as CVC and VC. The bench said; there were no grounds to quash the appointments of Chowdary and  T M Bhasin.
