New Delhi (13.12.2025): State Bank of India (SBI) has appointed Ravi
Ranjan as its Managing Director with effect from December 15, 2025. This appointment of Ravi Ranjan was notified by the
Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, through government
notification issued on December 15. Ranjan assumed charge the same day. He was
serving as deputy managing director at SBI. Ranjan will remain in office until
his superannuation on September 30, 2028 or until further orders. Before his appointment as managing director, Ranjan served
as deputy managing director for global markets. He has held several leadership
positions including his tenure as chief general manager of SBI's Chennai
circle.
