Dr S S Negi (IFS:1980:HP) has been appointed as Director General of Forests and Special Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change. The incumbent DG Forests, S S Garbyal (IFS:1977:UT), will handover the baton to Negi on July 31. Presently Negi is serving in his cadre state as Member Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Biodiversity Board.
