Rupin Sharma (IPS:1992:NL) has been appointed as DGP Nagaland. Currently he serves as the Director General of Prisons and HG/CD.
Sharma will succeed LL Doungel, IPS, who assumed office on November 26, 2014 on a deputation from West Bengal. Doungel, whose retirement is due on February 2018, had been on deputation to Nagaland (his home state) since 2014.
