Shillong (01.10.2021): Rebecca Vanessa Suchiang (IAS:1989:Assam-Meghalaya) has taken over as the new Chief Secretary of Meghalaya. She is the first Khasi woman to reach such a prestigious position in the state.Suchiang was posted as Additional Secretary in the Union Finance Ministry. Suchiang will also serve as State Vigilance Commissioner once she takes charge as Chief Secretary on September 30, 2021.
