New Delhi (30.12.2023): Rashmi Shukla (IPS: 1998: MH) has been appointed as the new Director General of Police of Maharashtra. She was serving as the Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal and had also served as the Additional Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).Before being sent on a central deputation, Shukla had held several key posts in Maharashtra, including serving as the Pune police commissioner and director of the state intelligence wing. The decision to appoint Shukla as the top cop came more than three months after the Bombay High Court quashed two phone-tapping cases registered against the IPS officer.
