Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that V Srinivas Rao may be appointed as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju. Rao's name was proposed a month back to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet for ratification. But the usual delay has triggered apprehensions. Currently, Rao, a private person, serves as an Additional Private Secretary (APS) to the Minister. The OSD post fell vacant after Appa Rao repatriated to his parent cadre (Ministry of Railway) after completing seven years on central deputation.
