Senior IAS officer Rajiv Kumar (IAS:1981:UP) on Thursday took over as the new chief secretary of Uttar Pradesh amid a major bureaucratic reshuffle involving 44 IAS officers. Rajive Kumar, the erstwhile Shipping Secretary, was recently pre-maturely repatriated to UP.
The erstwhile Chief Secretary Rahul Bhatnagar (IAS:1983:UP) appointed as Chairman, Greater Noida Authority with additional charge as Investment Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh in New Delhi. Commissioner, Meerut, Prabhat Kumar (IAS:1985:UP) has been divested of the additional charge of chairman however he will continue as Chairman of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), Gautam Budh Nagar.
Sanjay Bhoosreddy (IAS:1989:UP) on pre-mature repatriation from Centre appointed as Principal Secretary, Sugar Industry and Cane Development and has been given additional charge as Cane Commissioner. Devashish Panda (IAS:1987:UP) has been divested of the additional charge of Investment Commissioner but continues as Resident Commissioner of UP in New Delhi and CEO, Greater Noida.
Many senior IAS officers who were shunted out, after Yogi Govt came to power, have also been given posting today. Navneet Sehgal (IAS:1988:UP) posted as Principal Secretary, Khadi and Gramodyog; Gurdeep Singh (IAS:1985:UP) posted as Member, Revenue Board while Amit Kumar Ghosh (IAS:1984:UP) was appointed as Secretary, Backward Caste Welfare Board.
Rama Raman (IAS:1987:UP) appointed as Secretary and Director, Handicraft and Textile Industry at Kanpur. Anita Singh (IAS:1990:UP) happointed as Principal Secretary, Samagra Gram Vikas Department while Dimple Verma (IAS:1989:UP) appointed as Principal Secretary, Externally-funded Projects Department.
