The incumbent Chief Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan C S Rajan (IAS:1978:RJ) finally gets three months extension who was superannuate on December 31. Rajan was appointed as CS on October 30, 2014 after Rajiv Mehrishi moved to Centre as ecretary, Department of Economic Affairs. Now Rajan will serve as Chief Secretary till March 31, 2016.
The extension is not only being seen as a big departure from Centres approach of discouraging extension but also as the master-stroke of Rajasthan CM Ms Vasundhara Raje Scindhia.
