Punjab: Govt enacts a minor reshuffle of IAS officers

Chandigarh (05.08.2024): The Punjab government has enacted a minor reshuffled of IAS officers. The names of these officers are as follows:
  • Alok Shekhar (IAS: 1994: PB) is now Additional Chief Secretary, Jails with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development & Fisheries.
  • Tejveer Singh (IAS: 1994: PB) is now Additional Chief Secretary, Local Government with additional charge Additional Chief Secretary, Industries and Commerce and Additional Chief Secretary, Information Technology.
  • Ajoy Sharma (IAS: 1999: PB) is now Principal Secretary, Tourism and Cultural Affairs with additional charge of Financial Commissioner, Forests & Wild Life Preservation and Principal Secretary, Governance Reforms.
  • Rahul Tiwari (IAS: 2000: PB), Administrative Secretary, Science, Technology and Environment, has been entrusted with additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Housing and Urban Development, administrative Secretary, Power, Chairman–cum–Managing Director, Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd.
  • Kumar Rahul (IAS: 2000: PB) is now Administrative Secretary, Health and Family Welfare.
  • Gurpreet Kaur Sapra (IAS: 2005: PB) is now Secretary, Personnel with additional charge of Secretary, General Administration and Coordination and Vigilance Commissioner, Roopnagar Division, Roopnagar
  • Dilraj Singh (IAS: 2005: PB) is now Administrative Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayats with additional charge of Administrative Secretary, Transport and Administrative Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs.
  • Amit Dhaka (IAS: 2006: PB) is appointed Administrative Secretary, Planning with additional charge of Director, MGSIPA.
  • Pardeep Kumar (IAS: 2007: PB) is now appointed as Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, Jalandhar.
  • Vikas Pratap (IAS: 1994: PB) will continue to work as Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner, Taxation.
  • Shruti Singh (IAS: 2004: PB) will continue to work as Resident Commissioner, Punjab Bhawan, New Delhi.
