Representatives of HRD and 20 other ministries held a meeting on Monday to thrash out the issue of financing the IMPRINT program launched with much fanfare by the President and Prime Minister last year. The program is said to be not shaping up as envisioned. Aimed at kick-starting technological innovation, the program is suffering due to alleged dilly-dallying by ministries over their financial commitment. Only half of the 200-odd research proposals identified by the HRD Ministry have found funding from other ministries.
