'Indianmandarins' learns that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 2013 batch IAS officers on November 19 at DRDO Auditorium in New Delhi as they all set to complete their stint on November 30. Approx 169 IAS probationers had started their first stint of posting after PM Modi addressed them on August 31 at Vigyan Bhawan.
'Indianmandarins' had reported on August 07 that 2013 batch IAS would mark as the first-ever batch to be exposed to working experience at the centre before being sent to their state cadres.
Having evaluated the new policy DOPT has concluded that 2014 batch IAS probationer officers will undergo a six-month orientation course at the central government. Since there were no sanctioned posts for 2013 batch the experiment was executed through posts borrowed from the central secretariat service. Now the DoPT is said to have set off the process to create new posts of Assistant Secretary to accommodate 2014 batch officers.
