The Central Government has revoked the transfer order of Assistant Enforcement Director Niranjan Singh 10 months after it was issued. The officer was transferred from Jalandhar to Kolkata on January 16, 2015 - 20 days after he summoned Punjab's Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia for questioning in connection with a Rs 6,000 crore synthetic drug racket case. Instead of accepting the transfer order, Singh took the matter to the Punjab and Haryana High Court and got his transfer stayed.
