Indianmandarins has learnt that a Union Minister, in a communication to PESB Member Ms Gauri Kumar, addressed her as Chairman, PESB. Incidentally, the chairman's post fell vacant on 24 November after Ajit Kumar Seth attained 65 years of age. From 25 November onwards, the public sector headhunter is headless as none has been even nominated as working or interim chairman. Though Ms Gauri Kumar is being seen as next chairman of PESB also because she is the senior most among the three members on the board, some say that the NaMo administration has already made a departure from the convention of appointing the seniormost member as Chairman by setting aside K M Acharya and appointing Ajit Kumar Seth as PESB Chairman last year. At a time when the Chairman's post was duly advertised and final selection is eagerly awaited, the minister's communication to Ms Kumar addressing her as Chairman, PESB has triggered a lot of wild speculations
