PCI election sees huge turnout; may have surprising results

701New Delhi (22.05.2022): This year’s Press Club of India’s election is unprecedented on many counts. So the result may also surprise many. There were four panels that contested this year’s election, voter turnout was unexpectedly high and everything was done to win elections as practiced by politicians for Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. If a report was published in a newspaper indicating that the incumbent president of PCI will be appointed media advisor to Lok Sabha Speaker, the rumor was abuzz that a panel was contesting as a dummy to ensure the victory of a particular panel for some considerations. Whatever could be the reality the results are certainly going to be watched out for.
