'Indianmandarins' has learnt that one post of Joint Secretary will fall vacant on December 15 vice Ambuj Sharma (IAS:1983:TN). The post was upgraded as that of Additional Secretary on a temporary basis. After Sharma completes his three-year deputation on December 14, the post will be considered vacant for the post of Jt Secretary. Sharma was appointed as JS in the Dept of Heavy Industries on 15 December 2008 and was elevated in situ as Additional Secretary on 25 September 2013. Reportedly he had applied for a three-month extension which has been turned down.
