Ms Usha Suresh (IES:1986) has been appointed Financial Advisor (Joint Secretary level) to the Khadi & Village Industries Commission, Mumbai. Previously she had served as Director as well as Economic Adviser to the Forward Markets Commission, Mumbai. In March 2013 she was empanelled as Jt Secretary.
Her appointment has gone through a lengthy process of 107 days, which is considered short in such appointments. The DoPT had invited applications for the post in the third week of August 2015 and the appointment was done in the 1st week of December.
