New Delhi (31.07.2024): Union minister Chirag Paswan appears to be quite different from his peers and certainly far better than his predecessor. At least senior officials of the ministry have been observing these changes in the functioning of the ministry ever since Chirag Paswan took over the charge of the ministry.
A section of senior bureaucrats feels that the minister takes keen interest in examining files. While dealing with the Parliament Questions (PQs), the minister is keen on every aspect and seeks every detail of them.
Looking back at Chirag’s predecessor Pashupatinath Paras (during NaMo 2.0), the officials say that it was quite different. He had less retention time thus he was unable focus much on files. Officials believe that having seen his father Ram Vilas Paswan as Union Cabinet minister for decades and successive terms as Union minister, Chirag has apparently inherited the nuances of governance and administration.
