Bhubaneshwar (29.12.2023): Three days ahead of the retirement, terms of service of Odisha Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena (IAS: 1989: OD) has been extended for six more months. With an extended term Jena, who was slated to retire on December 31, will now continue as State CS till 30.06.2024.Reportedly, the Odisha CM considered the decision keeping in mind the forthcoming general and Assembly polls due in April-May next year. The Odisha government’s decision and notification followed the approval of the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) of the Union government.
