New Delhi (05.12.2022): North Western Railway has earned Rs 140.52 crore till November of the current financial year with an aim to optimally utilise resources by mobilizing scrap materials. This is 12 percent more than the previous year. North Western Railway was given a target of earning Rs 192 crore from scrap disposal this financial year. Removal of scrap has increased the safety and cleanliness of railway premises. Special efforts are being made to make railway stations, railway sections, depots, workshops, sheds, and railway premises junk free under the Stores Department’s Mission Zero Scrap campaign for scrap disposal.
