Four Congress-Leftist era commissions have been headless for months, while another called National Commission for Minorities (NCM) is scheduled to become headless on March 04, 2016. This may appear insignificant for those who understand the functioning of the NaMo administration which is marked by studied indifference to yesteryears' monumental schemes that aimed at fragmenting people and reaping electoral fortunes. If ever an auditing of the contributions of these organizations were carried out, nothing but stark results would stare at the face of the people. For years, all the five commissions that include National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST), National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), National Commission for Safai Karmcharis (NCSK) and National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) besides NCM, have been nothing but a drain on the public exchequer. The problem is by not winding up these organizations and just keeping them headless defies the principle of financial frugality that is inherent in the government commitment of "minimum government, maximum governance."
