Union I&B Minister and Union Minister for Urban Development & HUPA M Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated DoPT's IAS Training on 'Smart Cities' on Monday (07 Nov 2016)
While inaugurating he explained that the objective of the Smart Cities Mission was to promote cities that provide core infrastructure and give a decent quality of life to its citizens, a clean and sustainable environment and application of 'smart' solutions.
HUDCO CMD Dr. M Ravi Kanth (Rtd IAS) said that the training programme would go a long way in helping the participants to develop a better understanding of Smart Cities and urged the participants to implement the learning in their respective areas of work at field level.
