Immediately after NaMo administration announced the second extension to SEBI Chairman Ajay Tyagi there was another development from the Union Territory of J&K. G C Murmu tendered his resignation who became the first L-G of Jammu and Kashmir on 31 October 2019 after the state of J&K was bifurcated into two Union Territories, the other being Ladakh. Reportedly, Murmu could be the next Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) after Rajiv Mehrishi retires this week. It may be underlined that J&K LG and Chief Secretary were apparently at loggerheads which earlier made news in local newspapers as well.
