New Delhi (13.03.2023): Five days ahead of the scheduled interview for selection of the next CMD of NMDC the Ministry of Steel assigned the additional charge of CMD to Amitava Mukherjee; the senior most Board-member and Director (Finance), NMDC
The CMD post fell vacant after the erstwhile CMD Sumit Deb retired on February 28, 2023.
It may be underlined that the PESB is expected to conduct the selection interview for the CMD post on March 18, 2023, wherein several internal candidates are expected to face the selection board (PESB).
It may be underlined that several top executives have thrown their hats into the ring for the CMD post namely;
Mrs Usha Singh, Director (HR), MOIL Limited); N Sridhar (IASL1997), CMD, Singareni Collieries Company Limited; Ashok Kumar Verma (IRSS); Rakesh Tumane, Director (Finance), MOIL; Rajeev Soni (CGM, BSNL) and Saroj Kanta Patra (ED, RVNL).
