Presently posted as Additional Resident Commissioner in Delhi (Kerala House) Ms Rachna Shah (IAS:1991:KL) has been appointed Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat. In her third stint at centre she will succeed Ms Deepti Umashankar (IAS:1993:HY) as JS on December 27. On November 02, 2015 the ACC had appointed Ms Shah as Jt Secretary, Food & Public Distributation but consequent upon cancellation of previous appointment she got new opportunity to be at Cabinet Secretariat. Ms Umashankar will complete her tenure in Cabinet Secretariat on December 26, 2015. In her second stint at Centre (August 2006 and June 2011) Ms Shah, resident of Uttar Pradesh, served as Director, DOPT and further as Adviser to ED, Asian development Bank under the Ministry of Finance.
