Ms. Archana Ramasundram (IPS:1980:TN), has been appointed as Director, National Crime Record Bureau. In her new stint at centre she replaces R R Verma as its new chief. Presently, she is serving with CBI Additional Director. Before her stint as ADG CBI she had served in the CBI as Deputy Inspector General and later as its first woman Joint Director. According to orders, the post of Director, NCRB has been temporarily upgraded to DG level for a period of two years.
