As reported first by Indianmandarins Sudhi Ranjan Mohanty, an IAS officer of the 1982 batch, takes charge as the Chief Secretary
of Madhya Pradesh today following his appointment to the post. A directive issued by Principal
Secretary of Personnel Administration Rashmi Arun said Mohanty will replace the
outgoing Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh (IAS:1984:MP), who retired on Monday. Prior to this Mohanty served as the
president of state Secondary Education Board. Previously,
Radheshyam Julania (IAS:1985:MP) and Iqbal Singh Bains (IAS:1985:MP) were
also in the race for the top job.
