Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that the selection of Rabindra Nath Jha for the post of Director (Technical) in Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Ltd (CMPDIL) has turned uncertain. It is further learnt that the Coal Ministry has recently written to the public sector headhunter (PESB) to reconsider its selection which it had made on August 08 last year. It may be noted that the PESB had interviewed as many as seven candidates for the post and selected Jha (Director, Tech, MECL) for the post. The Ministry was expected to send its recommendation to the ACC for ratification. But instead of sending its recommendation to ACC, it put the ball in PESB's court to revisit its decision. What exactly happened in between has set tongues wagging.
