MHA: P Vashista takes over OSD before taking over as SSIS

New Delhi (17.10.2024): Praveen Vashista (IPS: 1991: BH) has been appointed as Special Secretary of Internal Security (SSIS) in the Ministry of Home Affairs w.e.f 01.01.2025 on superannuation of incumbent Sivagami Sundari Nanda (IPS: 1988: AGMUT) on 31-12-2024. He will hold the office of Special Secretary up to his superannuation on 31-07-2026. Meanwhile, tenure of Vashista as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs has been curtailed to appoint him as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Home Ministry up to 31-12-2024.
